February Student Council Update

In the month of February, the Student Council had many fundraisers and special events. These events included the Candy Grams fundraiser sale for Valentine’s Day, the “Souper Bowl” Canned Soup Drive, School Counselor Week, and School Security/Officer Appreciation.

The Candy Grams fundraiser raised more than $1,000 and was a huge success. During Valentine's Day week, we set up stands in the gym and cafeteria. Student council members volunteered to run the stands, and the Candy Grams were sorted and bagged by the group that ran it, and they were delivered to homerooms February 11.

The Student Council also had a Canned Soup drive. Students brought canned food (preferably soups) to their homerooms. Whichever homeroom had the most soup at the end of the week won a Philly Pretzel party! All donations were taken to the Whitehall Food Pantry at St. Stephens.

For School Counselor Week, students filled out heart templates and wrote what they liked about their counselors. All hearts were added to the bulletin outside the counseling suite.

School Security/Officer Appreciation Day was Feb 15th. Student Council made cards for Officer Carter and Mr. Lelko. We also bought them lunch!

We are looking forward to many exciting things in March!
