    During the last two school years, federal government subsidies made school meals free for all students. These broad-based subsidies are no longer available, so free and reduced priced meals will again be provided based on economic need.

  • Club Activities

    The WCMS Science Olympiad team placed at the Bayard Rustin regional to advance to the state competition. The team was excited for all of their hard work to pay off. The members also competed at the local K'nex Stem Challenge held at CLIU 21.

  • Reading Olympics

    The Reading Olympics club competed in a Kahoot trivia competition on April 28 after school! A total of three rounds were played and they had a great time partaking - all students are receiving a ribbon for their participation in the event!

  • Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA)

    We are busy making preparations for this year’s PSSA administration for grades 6, 7, & 8. All students will begin testing on April 26, 2022. Student Council has arranged for a PSSA Spirit Week during the days prior to the start of the test. Keystone Exams will also follow for 8th Grade Algebra I students.

  • Reading Olympics

    The WCMS Reading Olympics club has been working hard on reading the list of 25 novels which will help them to successfully participate in the trivia challenge hosted by the CLIU 20. Our team, the Novel Nifflers, will be participating in the virtual event after school on April 28th.

    The 2022 Best Communities for Music Education program has recognized Whitehall-Coplay School District for the “outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders and their support for music education as part of a well-rounded education for all children.”

    The Aevidum Club has been preparing to read to Steckel Elementary students on March 23. They have been selecting books that focus on caring and friendship, while also creating questions to go along with the stories they will be sharing.

  • Black History Month 2022

    February is Black History Month! To celebrate this year, Mrs. Hunara, our Communities in Schools Site Coordinator, hosted a challenge to identify prominent and influential Black leaders. Each day a trivia question was read during daily announcements.

    January 12 was our first trip up to Blue Mountain this year. Many of our students from the middle school and high school have capitalized on the discounted season passes.

  • Aevidum Night

    During the varsity boys basketball game on Friday 12/17, Aevidum club members and advisors partnered with Communities in Schools, WHS Varsity Boys Basketball, and WHS Cheerleaders to host an "Aevidum Night" for mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

    Leo Club was very active in December as we had two meetings. We ended the year spreading lots of holiday cheer by decorating the cafeterias at the Middle School with lights and ornaments.
