Monthly SWPBS Rewards
The April Scavenger Hunt Reward was a huge success! Kindergarten students participated on April 28th, and the first graders completed the hunt on April 29th. Students enjoyed following the clues around the building with their teachers to find the 10 prize stations.

Gockley Penny Wars
During the week of April 25th - 29th, Gockley students participated in a Penny War to support in the efforts to conquer childhood cancer. All of the change that was collected was given to Whitehall High School’s 10th annual Mini-Thon which is taking place on May 20th.

SWPBS BOOSTER WEEK
During the week of March 28th - April 1st all students were shown a video that reviewed the SWPBS expectations, I am Caring, Always do my Best and Need to be Safe. Each day of that week was a school spirit day! Student’s had fun participating in this school spirit week!

Earth Day
We will observe Earth Day and promote a healthy, caring attitude to the world on Friday, April 22, 2022 . Kindergarten classes will be learning about recycling. First grade students will be participating in group projects.

SWPBS Celebration
Our celebration for this month is a SWPBS Scavenger Hunt which will be held the last week of April. Classes will follow the clues around the Gockley building to find the prize stations.

The 2022 Best Communities for Music Education program has recognized Whitehall-Coplay School District for the “outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders and their support for music education as part of a well-rounded education for all children.”

100th Day of School Activities
First grade and kindergarten students had lots of educational fun as they participated in learning activities designed for the 100th day of school which fell on Tuesday February 8, 2022.

Operation Time Capsule in First Grade
Students in Mrs. Mondschein's classroom had the opportunity to create a time capsule on 2/2/22 to be opened on 3/3/33 (their senior year). They were taught that a time capsule is a memory that holds present day information and is sealed for the future.

Officer Christman Welcomes Students
It’s always a nice surprise when Officer Christman stops into Gockley to fist bump and wish the students a good day. Our students feel the positive feeling of having a police officer visit. Officer Christman has always engaged with students, teachers, staff and our community to foster school-police partnerships.
